
There has not been such a perfect storm of Bobness in a good long while. Suddenly everyone wants to talk to the host of The BeanCast. First
AAF on Monday. Now today
I'm featured on the Social Nerdia marketing podcast (had a great time talking to
Esteban Contreras) and
my customer service blog post continues to rack up numbers with a guest appearance over at
Who's Your Gladys, a customer service blog.
First, let me say that Social Nerdia was a blast. Esteban runs a tight ship and he's a natural at keeping a conversation going. We talked about podcasting, losing the silos in marketing and management, strategies for social media and the state of advertising as a whole. It was great to be the guest for a change, so get ready for a LOT of me talking.
As for Who's Your Gladys, they approached me some weeks back about running my post. I never imagined my tirade against social media voodoo magic being used to cover over real customer service problems would get such traction. But ever since posting it, the piece has gathered widespread attention. So check it out in either venue.
And this is one of those perfect opportunities to say, "Thanks for listening and reading." I'm grateful to all of you for your support of my efforts. It's very clear that none of these opportunities would be coming my way if you all weren't participating in the process.
